Job Summary

What is the opportunity?
You will act as the primary point of contact for clients operational requirements for physical precious operations.

You will be required to develop a full understanding of RBC's internal structure and how to best navigate this quickly and efficiently to expedite any client queries to resolution.


What will you do?

  • Position mandate is to provide Operational Control and Support surrounding the Logistics of the Commodity Physical Businesses primarily in precious metals space but also incorporating base metals and soft commodities.
  • Coordinate the transportation, storage, and delivery of precious and base metals, ensuring timely and efficient logistics operations.
  • Collaborate closely with the sales and trading desk to facilitate smooth trade settlement and optimize profitability.
  • Analyze market trends and supply chain data to identify opportunities for process improvements, cost optimization and new business initiatives.
  • Utilize various tools to forecast demand, manage inventory levels, and mitigate risk exposure.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to logistics activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Physical forms will entail refined precious metals dore recycle and inventory financing, exchange products as well as off exchange products.
  • The position requires the capability to work efficiently and effectively with a diverse range of professionals both internally and externally. Commodity Physical Businesses include, but are not limited to, Base and precious Metals and Soft Products.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Previous experience in banking operations.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and excellent time management skills and ability to interpret complex data in a fastpaced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Solid understanding of finance, trading, risk management, costbenefit analysis, and profit optimization.
  • Bachelor's Degree from a recognized university

Nice-to-have

  • Experience in precious metals
  • Experience in commodity financing
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Supply Chain Management
  • Base metals/soft commodities experience.
