Quality Control Technician

Location: 9094 Cavanagh Road (Ashton, Ontario)

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented
Quality Control Technician to join our construction team.

The Quality Control Technician will be responsible for ensuring that all construction projects meet the highest quality standards and comply with relevant specifications and procedures.

This individual will play a critical role in maintaining and improving the overall quality of our construction projects.


Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Conduct quality control inspections, sampling and testing on construction materials at various stages of the construction process
  • Evaluate and interpret construction drawings and specifications to ensure compliance with project requirements and industry standards
  • Monitor construction activities to identify potential quality issues and work with the project team to address them promptly
  • Perform onsite inspections of completed work to ensure it meets the required quality standards and specifications
  • Collect and analyze data, including measurements, test results, and inspection reports, to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement
  • Collaborate with project teams to develop and implement quality control procedures, checklists, and guidelines
  • Conduct regular audits of construction processes, materials, and documentation to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
  • Maintain accurate and uptodate records of quality control activities, inspection reports, and test results
  • Provide guidance and training to construction personnel on quality control processes, procedures, and best practices

Requirements:


  • Proven experience as a Quality Control Technician or a similar role in the construction industry is considered an asset
  • Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and industry standards
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications
  • Proficient in using measurement tools, testing equipment, and computer software for quality control purposes
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Valid Class G driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Ability to work nightshifts and weekends
  • Must be physically fit to have the ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Salary:
$24.00-$26.00 per hour
