We are investing significantly to grow our multi-billion dollar business in this space, to add to our market leading hybrid cloud application platform.
S/he must know how to identify trends in the market, and have a nose for opportunity and differentiated value.
It will be impactful in driving the direction of market leading products. It will be extremely visible to the executive team. Required Technical and Professional ExpertiseIdentify disruptive trends (and associated opportunities for IBM) in application development, deployment, and management.
Advise product portfolio managers and executive team on all research, identified trends/opportunities, and competitive intelligence.
Work with product management leadership and sales leadership around the world to understand and track the health and adoption of product offers and gather feedback.
Preferred Technical and Professional ExpertiseUnderstanding of the capabilities provided by hyperscalers (Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud), and how application developers are using them.
Understanding and currency in leading programming languages, their frameworks, and communities (e.g. Java, Python, Javascript, Rust, Go, etc.)Understanding of emerging capabilities in generative AI, including its usage in developing software application code, test cases, etc.
Proven ability to present to executives and large enterprise customers.
