Summary of Duties

Reporting to the Golf Pro Manager, the Golf Course Outside Services staff may perform a variety of duties including monitoring the first tee, answering the phone, touring the course while monitoring play, power cart cleaning and staging at both City of London golf courses.

This position works as part of a team in a public facing fast paced golf environment providing a high-quality golf experience while providing excellent customer service to City of London patrons.


Work Performed

  • Use the tee time reservation system, answer phone calls, and group golfer(s) together.
  • Direct players to the first tee at appropriate times.
  • Enforce pace of play and etiquette on the golf course.
  • Assist customers and inform golf supervisory staff of any on course problems.
  • Help maintain power cart fleet on a daytoday basis.
  • Ensure enough carts are always available and staged properly for customers.
  • Inspect and clean carts upon return and keep cart washing and surrounding area neat and tidy.
  • Assist Pro shop staff with group and tournament cart set up.
  • Demonstrate excellent customer service skills and a positive and professional attitude when communicating with the public and coworkers.
  • Complete all required paperwork and reports as outlined by Supervisor.
  • Demonstrate commitment to antiracism, antioppression, and human rights through practices and interactions with stakeholders, employees and individuals and support programs and initiatives that reflect this commitment.
  • Demonstrate commitment and adherence to Health and Safety legislation and programs; actively promote a culture of safety.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications/Experience

  • Standard First Aid
  • Criminal Record and Judicial Matters Check (CRJMC)
  • Ability to demonstrate interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office including word and excel, Point of Sale and Perfect Mind.
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • High level of comfort in fast paced public facing environments.
  • Second language is an asset (please indicate on resume).
