What will you be doing?

  • Provide analysis and support for manufacturing shop floor, inventory and planning. Under supervision update configurations within BaaN/LN Manufacturing and Distribution modules as required. Responsible for understanding the requirements of the business and translating them to functional requirements that can be easily translated to actionable standard Baan configurations or technology requirements.
  • Work under the guidance of the Senior Business Analyst or Project Manager learning and documenting as required.
  • Be the first line support for shop floor production issues as it relates to the ERP system and perform root cause analysis as required with the assistance of the Senior Business Analyst or Project Manager.
  • Train end users on configurations and solutions delivered by Information Technology. For projects assigned, maintain relevant documentation and provide project management.
  • Maintain process diagrams and documentation following the Teknion approved System Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Proactively communicate and collaborate with customers/stakeholders throughout the course of issue resolution.
  • Analyze issues and under the supervision of the Senior Business Analyst or Project Manager to look for opportunities to improve processes and systems and assist in the development of Business Functional Requirements that can be efficiently translated to Technical Requirements (TR), but will not be responsible for the creation of TRs.
  • Serve as the conduit between the production community and Information Technology
  • Provide eCQ reports as needed for customers/stakeholders.
  • Analyze configurations/setups and processes, making recommendations that aligns to the business vision/needs
  • Be the first line of support for the manufacturing related modules of the ERP system
  • Manage and oversee the ticketing system, triaging issues, taking ownership of issues logged or escalating as required
  • Running system rebuilds or planning engines after hours or weekends remotely/virtually as required
  • Look at daily systems report to ensure the ERP system health is maintained and action as needed; first free numbers, kickouts, integration failures
  • Inform team of system health statuses that requires the involvement of the broader team. Ex need for archiving

What skills, experience and education are we looking for?

Special Skills:

  • Must possess solid analytical skills that can translate the analysis into effective troubleshooting and problem resolution.
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Baan/LN is desirable.

Other Qualifications/Skills:

  • Post secondary education including preferably an Industrial Engineering Bachelor's Degree
  • Some understanding of Master Production Scheduling, Capacity Requirements Planning, Shop Floor Control, Bills of Materials, Product Configuration, Routings and Work Center efficiencies is desirable.
  • One to two years related experience in a business analyst role.
  • Articulate and computer literate.
  • Commitment to process control discipline including documentation of policies and procedures where necessary.
  • Ability to work in a fastmoving environment.
  • Accurate and precise with above average organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a team.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Lean Manufacturing and Lean in the Office experience is an asset
  • Wide knowledge of business processes and workflows for various types of businesses.
  • Ability to identify new solutions to solve business problems.
  • Ability to work weekends remotely/virtually and after hours as required.
