Reporting to the Manager, Change Management, the Change Management Consultant will play a critical role in supporting the Change Management (CM) team and governance model for Retail Advice and Solutions (RAS) to support the advisor experience.

The Change Management Consultant role is a key role, accountable for supporting change management activities in the organization.

These changes may impact business processes and/or roles, changes in the underlying systems or technology platforms we use, any kind of changes that impact people and whose success is dependent on successful adoption of new ways of working.


What will you do?


The Change Management Consultant plays a role in supporting the execution of change initiatives achieve their stated objectives and outcomes.

This role will focus on the people side of change and at a high level involves:


  • Supporting the national advisor information series (Learn and Lead / Learn and Grow)
  • Executing the change management plans and tactics
  • Collaborating within partner relationships to ensure visibility into changes impacting our business partners
  • Defining and reporting on relevant metrics to effectively gauge the success of the change in achieving target outcomes
  • Assessing effectiveness and feedback, and adjusting along the way
In everyday activities, this role will support the Manager, Change Management and project change lead(s) in change management and communications activities including:

  • Own the national advisor learning series, including management and facilitation of bi-weekly sessions, reporting and analytics
  • Helping to manage the change deliverables and engagement with impacted stakeholders, such as creating and editing project learning materials, such as process guides for Advisors and partners
  • Participating in alignment of priorities with partners and leaders
  • Evaluating and ensuring business / operational readiness from a people perspective
  • Defining and measuring CM success metrics; assess effectiveness of change tactics and use feedback loops to continuously adapt tactics to the intended audience
  • Supporting and engaging Change leads, business partners and senior leaders, consult initiative sponsors or project team members as needed

What do you need to succeed?

Bilingualism (French, English, both oral and written) is required as the incumbent will be responsible for creating and delivering training to employees and/or English and French-speaking clients across Canada and worldwide.

  • Strong verbal and written communications skills, including MS Office, especially PowerPoint
  • Able to work and communicate effectively at all levels in an organization
  • Very high level of professionalism and polish with field leaders, advisors, and partners
  • Effective work planning; organized with a natural inclination for flexibility; forwardlooking with a holistic approach
  • Problem solving, analysis and root cause identification skills
  • Must be a team player and able to work collaboratively with and through others
  • Familiarity with project management approaches
  • Previous experience in insurance or financial services and previous experience in similar types of change or transformation initiatives would be considered an asset
  • Change management certification or designation considered an asset
