33 Acres Vancouver Front of House Manager
The Front of House Manager position Encompasses 33 Acres Brewing Company & 33 Brewing Experiment's front rooms day to day customer service and staff management.
This role includes ensuring the staff have all of the tools and materials needed for the FOH to operate at the highest standards daily, including but not limited to; cleanliness, cash management, handling suppliers, stock levels of all supplies, staff management / culture, weekly / monthly inventories and overall accountability for the operation of the rooms.
This person should be present on site during the busiest times of the week.Delegating to supervisory staff, creating tools to benefit the team and to create more revenue and always working on the efficiencies of the rooms.
Customer service is of the utmost importance, as well as cleanliness, organization and order in the space.At 33 Acres Brewing Company, we strive to promote a work life balance, and a positive workplace environment.
This position is intended to ensure that all FOH employees understand their expectations and have the tools to do their jobs.
The Front of House Manager will work directly under Tyler Clark and will be required to update Tyler on all things Front of House on a weekly basis.
- Ensuring cold room rotation and organization.
- Staff Education on new Beers / Wine / Cocktails
- Maintaining and managing liquor inventory systems including updates to wine lists
- Maintaining relationships with suppliers
- Watching hours for overtime,
- Managing labour costs for all departments
- Make sure staff are trained and customer focused
- Communicating cash needs to accounting department/FOHOD/Office Manager
- Balancing daily cashouts
- Completing weekly Tips and sending to accounting.
- Keeping all food/drink menus up to date
- Communicating any Vinyl needs to Tyler
- Ensuring square POS buttons are updated and current
- Maintaining database of all suppliers
- Ordering goods and supervising costs
- Completing weekly/monthly inventories
- Coolers, Merchandise, food, liquor, coffee/tea etc.
- Ensuring all inventory is organized and easy to access by all staff
- Scheduling of staff
- Ensuring adequate staffing relative to the day of the week and holidays
- Covering shifts when required due to no shows, injury or sickness.
- New staff onboarding & training
- Continued staff training/upselling
- Hiring, firing and Reprimands.
- Rollout and implementation of new food/drink items
- Training supervisors on new policy/procedure implementation
- Effective communication with staff regarding new initiatives / weekly updates.
- Weekly goals / updates to supervisors.
- Weekly briefing with Tyler
- Bi-Weekly meeting with Kitchen Manager to discuss food program and any updates
- Monthly general staff meetings
- Monthly supervisor meetings.
- Bi-Monthly Staff Team Building Event
- Included will be any Labour issues, inventory issues, completion of tasks resolved or incomplete, guest complaints or compliments and the general flow of the shifts.
- Weekly meeting with Tyler to go over labour costs, sales, upcoming promotions, B33R launches and other tasting room related items
- Monthly meeting with FOH Operations Director Tyler and President Kyle.
- Empowering kitchen staff and ensuring they have the tools needed to keep pars/order
- Ensure quality / consistency is upkept.
- Biweekly meeting with Kitchen Manager to go over new initiatives/dishes.
- Maintaining database of suppliers/trades for necessary repairs around tasting room
- Ensuring the space/equipment are maintained and repaired in a timely fashion
- Ensuring tasting room is New Store Open (NSO) ready daily
- Should look like the day we first opened, everyday.
- Ensuring cleanliness standards are upheld.
