Mississauga, ON for a:

Handyman/Facilities Coordinator
The Handyman/Facilities Coordinator is responsible to clean and maintain the interior and exterior of the office building and assist with general duties around the office


Specific accountabilities include:

  • Provide general handy work such as door maintenance, minor installations, touch up patch and paint, changing lights, and other repairs and building maintenance as required;
  • Assist with building mechanical and electrical maintenance requirements;
  • Perform regular inspections of the onsite generator;
  • Coordinate scheduled maintenance and repairs with vendors for the office facility;
  • Organize and maintain meeting room furniture;
  • Operate mechanical sweeper to clean below grade parking area;
  • Clear snow on pathways, maintain free of ice, operate walk behind snow blower;
  • Clean and maintain office building interior in pristine condition;
  • Maintain office garden areas;
  • Receive and handle bulk deliveries;
  • Keep storage areas organized;
  • Distribute paper from storage to copiers and printers;
  • General labor to assist staff around the office.

Skills and Experience:


  • Prior experience working in facility maintenance;
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Positive and professional attitude to dealing with internal customers and service personnel;
  • Proactive thinker;
  • Able to follow verbal and written instructions;
  • Able to work safely and follow safety guidelines and policies.

Working Conditions:


  • Casual lifting up to 50lbs
  • Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle
  • Must be able to work outside of regular hours as required as well as outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Use of PPE as required
