Your Opportunity


The Business Analyst - Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Organizational Hierarchy is a highly visible role that works directly with key members of Financial Reporting, Corporate Development, Mergers & Acquisitions, IT, Marketing, Real Estate, Human Resources and Operational Leadership.


As Business Analyst - ERP Organizational Hierarchy, you will support the Financial Services Team and other Stantec functional services and operating teams by evaluating proposed changes to the data or hierarchies of our various ERP systems, ensuring they are consistent with our policies, and creating the necessary instructions for implementation.

These changes range in complexity from simple office address changes to complex ERP hierarchies and re-organizations required to support the integration of acquired companies.

You will be responsible for ensuring adherence to corporate policies, the advancement of operational efficiencies, and for supporting Stantec's diverse and growing business interests across our North American and Global businesses.

You will be responsible for communicating, in stakeholder appropriate language, how the various ERP hierarchies interact.

You will understand, in depth and breadth, both the scope and the downstream impacts of requested changes and-should they arise-you will address competing priorities between stakeholders with a thoughtful and transparent approach.


Your Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze, evaluate, and document data hierarchies, policies, and standards
  • Review and assess requests for data or hierarchy changes and ensure compliance with policies and standards
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to understand business requirements and data management needs
  • Develop and maintain policies, standards, procedures, and guidelines for data management
  • Manage data quality and consistency across all systems and platforms
  • Communicate and explain data policies, standards, and guidelines to stakeholders and manage conflicting interests
  • Provide support to the organization in data management and governance

Qualifications

Your Capabilities and Credentials

  • Excellent analytical skills with a high attention to detail
  • Strong understanding of (or interest in understanding) master data management principles, concepts, and best practices
  • Familiarity with ERP systems, database management, and data analysis
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to explain complex concepts to nontechnical stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with crossfunctional teams
  • Strong problemsolving and critical thinking skills

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in business, business technology management, or related field
  • 13 years' experience in a similar role would be an asset
