Job Summary


As Data Analyst, Product, you will serve a critical role as an individual contributor, a key domain expert, and you will spearhead and implement opportunities for bringing actionable insights to our Product team.

Your task is to gather and prepare data from multiple sources, run statistical analyses, and communicate your findings in a clear and objective way.

You will report to the Director of Product Management - Self-Serve at Equinix Metal.


Responsibilities

  • Bring data insights to Product team: you will build and maintain critical dashboards for the product team. You will work with each Product Lead to collect the top metrics for each product, assist with the instrumentation requirements and unlock actionable insights. Examples of deliverables include capacity reports, product adoption reports, growth reports, and ad hoc reports
  • Partner with Analytics & Business Intelligence teams: analytics takes a village where you will play a central role. You will accelerate our time to insights by partnering with other BI teams within the organization. They will assist you to unlock data from various sources
  • Partner with the Product Led Growth team: you will partner closely with our Product Manager, Growth, on a wide range of experiments. From improving product adoption to increasing monetization to nailing retention, your work will have a direct impact on our north star metrics
  • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets: you will be the guide for people to understand and make sense of the insights buried across complex and various data sources. You will be our Michelangelo and unlock the sculpture (aka the "signal") by chiseling away the superfluous material (aka the "noise")
  • Improve instrumentation, tooling, and data collection processes: more than a destination, we're promising you a journey. You will play a critical part in keeping our product analytics tooling and reporting topnotch

Qualifications
This is a highly analytical role that requires the ability to answer complex questions with data.

  • 3+ years of professional experience
  • 1+ years of experience as a Data Analyst or Business Data Analyst for Enterprise XaaS/ B2B technology company
  • BS in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management or Statistics
  • Expert at querying databases or datasets with SQL
  • Expert in modeling with Excel
  • Expert with data warehouses
  • Experience with BI tools such as Tableau and PowerBI
  • Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a team
Preferred Qualifications

  • Understanding of data analytics for product led growth
  • Knowledge of Python and experience using libraries from Python's data science ecosystem (e.g., pandas, scikitlearn, matplotlib, bokeh, flask, streamlit)
  • Experience with popular statistical and machine learning techniques, such as clustering, linear regression, KNN, decision trees, etc
  • Experience with ML tools (AutoML, SageMaker, etc.)
  • Experience with A/B Testing and Pre/Post

In accordance with Colorado State Law, the salary range for this role is $67,000 - $94,000 per year with 15% bonus target.


For NYC residents:
In accordance with NYC Pay Transparency Law, the salary range for this role is $74,000 - $134,000 per year with 15% bonus tar
