MASTER LECTURER POSITION IN SOCIAL WORK (ANGLOPHONE STREAM)
The School of Social Work in the _Faculty of Education and Health _at Laurentian University invites
preferred start date is July 1, 2024.

will have the following essential qualifications:

  • Expertise in several of the following areas: direct practice, social policy and administration,
gerontology, mental health, substance use, practice with Francophone and newcomer
populations, people with disabilities, anti-racism practice, and Indigenous social work practice

  • Demonstrated excellence in teaching or teaching potential at postsecondary levels (on
campus and/or on-line)

  • Experience working collaboratively in a team environment and an enthusiasm for contributing
to the governance of the School

  • Clear commitment to pedagogical excellence, promoting a safe, inclusive, and welcoming
learning environment, and advancing Laurentian University's bilingual and tricultural
mandates

  • An ability and willingness to engage in dismantling antiIndigenous and antiBlack racism and
other oppressive practices that lead to social and health inequities

  • Experience and interest in mentoring and supporting graduate students is preferred. In addition to
on-campus presence, and make contributions through service to the School, Faculty, University, and
broader community.

Laurentian University, located on Atikameksheng Anishnawbek territory in Sudbury, Ontario, serves over
