Description

Position Summary:

The position is responsible for delivering high-quality education for future fire service professionals and providing administrative and technical support to the OFA Administration Team for day-to-day College operations.

Primary Responsibilities and Duties:

Conduct student evaluations.
Create a positive learning environment that accommodates students' diverse cultural and educational backgrounds, experiences, and individual learning styles.
Utilize principles of adult education to actively engage students in the learning process.
Work collaboratively, and effectively with students, the management team, and a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
Maintain behavior and actions consistent with College policies.
Continue professional development and growth according to personal needs and certification requirements
Provide input on the continuous improvement activities for the College.

Qualifications:

Minimum of two years of firefighting experience.
NFPA 1001 Firefighter Level I and Level II.
NFPA 1072 Hazmat Awareness & Hazmat Operations.
Knowledge of the accreditation body's training standards (NFPA, OFM, IFSAC)
Wellrounded knowledge of fire service professional education and training programs and operations.
