This is a unique opportunity to gain experience in the fastest growing technology field.Reporting to the Director, Global Payroll, the Payroll Supervisor is accountable for performing and supervising all activities necessary to ensure the accuracy and timely processing of the US, Canada, and international payrolls.
You will lead a team of 1 direct report to deliver on the payroll function's objectives.Responsibilities of this role include:
- Lead and support your team in the HR life cycle, including hiring, setting objectives, performance development and training, career path and off boarding to ensure the payroll team is successful.
- Support and complete full cycle payroll processing in a timely and accurate manner, including doing processing as needed, completing a detailed review of registers before payroll is run to ensure all records are accurate and in accordance with Global payroll standards.
- Ensure Government reporting and filing is completed accurately and efficiently, including ensuring you stay current with regulatory changes impacting payroll. Effective completion of Benefits reconciliations, including partnering with HR to align payroll registers and systems totals.
- Effectively responding to customer queries and effectively addressing pay issues
- Efficiently support Finance and Human Resource reporting and analytics, initiatives and projects as required to deliver on the payroll mandate, including supporting any systems testing and ensuring process documentation is current for training your team.
- Support all other work as confirmed with your leader to ensure the payroll function is successful.
- Continuously learn to evolve your skills and back up the Sr. Payroll Manager as required
Skills, Qualifications and Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years' experience as certified payroll practitioner and experience in Global payroll standards preferred
- Minimum 5 year demonstrated experience in managing and leading a team
- Basic accounting knowledge
- Solid work experience in reporting and analysis
- Selfstarter and Team player, with ability to operate in a fastpaced environment
- Customer service focus with ability to engage effectively at all levels
