Description:
Reporting into the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Panner leads planning for regional maintenance function, including developing work orders, organizing preventative maintenance forecasts, and facilitating planning meetings.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the maintenance planning processes for the region
- Manage data within the Computerized Maintenance Management Software (CMMS). This includes assets, preventive/predictive maintenance, work orders, work requests, inventory, employees, reports, etc.
- Create & Manage Preventive Maintenance program for assets at the brewery
- Collaborate with the Maintenance Supervisor to establish the annual preventative maintenance calendar
- Plan, prioritize and develop weekly schedule for corrective and preventative maintenance activities. Once completed, communicate the maintenance schedule to other departments
- Identify or review reoccurring corrective work and initiate development and revision of standard work orders
- Facilitate weekly planning meetings, and review manpower requirements
- Communicate maintenance related problems to stakeholders, as required
- Organize and plan the annual shutdown with maintenance team
- Support the development & revisions of the equipment lock out tag out procedures
- Schedule work and direct maintenance / contractors and ensure work is performed in accordance with company standards (H&S Regulations, LOTO, Confined Space, Electrical Standards)
- Develop and revise the contracted repair process for production equipment
- Maintain relationships with maintenance suppliers and follow up regarding supply/quality related issues
- Provide input to develop the maintenance expense budget and monitor spending throughout the year to ensure it remains within established parameters
- Perform 5S audits and follow up as required
- Provide backup for Maintenance Buyer and Maintenance Supervisor in their absence
- Perform other related duties as required
Requirements:
- Valid trade license, or postsecondary education in engineering or related technical field
- Minimum of 5 years of related experience in a maintenance department
- Experience with managing Computerized Maintenance Management Software (CMMS)
- Effective communication skills, written and verbal
- Computer skills with ability to use Microsoft Office software
- Experience with reliability centered maintenance (RCM) considered an asset
- Experience working in a unionized environment considered an asset
- Strong organization skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to demonstrate behaviours that support organizational values
Work Conditions:
- Spends approximately (25%) of time in production facility and the remainder in an office environment
- Required to wear PPE while in manufacturing environment
