Casual Instructor, Jr Shaw School of Business - Edmonton, Canada - NAIT

NOTE:
This is a contract position ending on or before April 26 for Winter backfill assignment; August 20 for spring assignment.
Key
Responsibilities:
- Instruct CMIS courses using casebased learning, problem based learning and technology supported learning among other instructional and assessment strategies.
- Give qualitative and quantitative feedback to students on assignments and exams.
- Follow and enforce NAIT policies, procedures and Academic Regulations.
- Inspiring students to lead business in their community.
Skills & Abilities:
- Computer management information systems
- MS Office especially Excel and Access
- Business analytics and data visualization
Qualifications:
Applicants must have a minimum of a Master's degree in Business Administration, or a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or an appropriate equivalent, from an accredited university and relevant post-secondary teaching experience.
- Excel skills from importing data sets, run analyses, and display results using charts and graph
- Presentation Skills effective verbal and written communication skills
- Data visualization skills with an innovative analytics tool like SAS, Excel, Tableau or SQL Server Reporting Services
- Microsoft Access/SQL Queries,
- Database software knowledge such as MS Access
- Information systems projects and or operations
- While not required, ability to program (and teach basic programming) in Python would be an asset.
Remuneration:
$99.00/Scheduled Instruction Hour. (Classification - Instructor Casual Credit). Depending on the course assignment, this ends up as $4,455 for instruction of a CMIS1101 course (45 instructional hours - spring possibility) and $5,940 for CMIS2250, DATA2210 or DATA3320 courses (60 instructional hours - winter backfill and other spring possibilities).
- This position is covered by the NAIT Academic Staff Association (NASA) Collective Agreement_
