In this position, the Kitchen Helper will be responsible for supporting the Chef/ Centre Management Team the daily operations of the kitchen.
To clean, stock, maintain the kitchen as well as help with the preparation of meal ingredients.Duties include but are not limited to:
- Ensuring a clean, sanitized environment, including washing, and drying all dishes, utensils, cooking equipment and cutting boards; mopping and sweeping the kitchen areas as required
- Maintain inventory and record of food, supplies and equipment
- Label and date open packages in fridge & freezer practicing FIFO
- Maintaining kitchen cleaning log
- Disinfecting practices & productsknow correct ppm
- Know and practice proper hand washing procedures
- Garbage handling
As a Bus Driver, you will transport children in our care to and from our academy during school days, Monday to Friday.
- Safely transport schoolaged children using company passenger vehicle
- Able to drive morning and afternoon shifts to neighbouring schools
- Communicate clearly with the centre management and staff
- Assist students getting on and off the vehicle
- Obey traffic laws at all time
- Keep the vehicle clean, fueled and safe
- Perform vehicle safety inspections before and after each route
- Other duties as required
- Ability to wash, peel, cut, slice of ingredients
- Ability to sweep and mop areas
- Ability to handle food allergies and food substitution
- Demonstrate some knowledge of proper food handling procedures
- Child Development Certificate issues in the Province of Albert, minimum of level 1+ year of commercial driving experience. School bus driving experience is an asset.
- Ability to follow instructions and obeying traffic laws
- Attention to detail and safety is a priority of yours.
- Team player, organized, flexible
- Child Development Certificate issues in the Province of Albert, minimum of level
- Current criminal record check, including Vulnerable sector criminal record check (issued within the past 6 months)
- Class 5 Full License (non GDL) with commercial passenger experience
- Able to provide Clean Commercial Driver's Abstract (issued within the past 30 days)
- 1 Years commercial cooking or kitchen helper experience preferred
- Food Safety Certificate is an asset
