    About the Role


    Your Responsibilities

    • To provide support to Production Team to ensure that SAFETY, QUALITY and PRODUCTIVITY are the 3 main priorities.
    • Ensure all operators are trained effectively on safety, manufacturing process and quality checking aspects of their job;
    • Drive workstation set-ups including the installation, testing and adjustment of tools and fixtures in presses and process machines according to set-up procedures;
    • Ensure production/inventory reports/documents are completed in an accurate/timely fashion;
    • Monitor/record employee's performance in order to provide feedback for development;
    • Work with Production Supervisors to co-ordinate worker activities, drive changes to the Schedule as necessary;
    • Utilize CMI to follow weekly schedule, production reporting and monitoring;
    • Responsible for efficiency, scrap and downtime reporting on a daily basis;
    • Assist with the inspection/maintenance of all plant equipment/machines for defects/potential problems according to Preventive Maintenance Program;
    • Work with JHSC to conduct audits, identify safety issues and ensure legislative compliance;

    Who we are looking for


    PHYSICAL DEMANDS/ WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

    • Ability to stand and walk on a regular basis;
    • Ability to move around on the production floor;
    • Ability to bend, twist, lift, reach;
    • Ability to work shift work including overtime, as required;
    • Ability to work at a computer workstation.

    Your preferred qualifications

    • Three (3) years Manufacturing experience; or Grade 12 diploma required
    • Valid Driver's license and ability to travel between plants required
    • Strong knowledge of industrial processes and machinery;
    • Ability to promote teamwork and creativity in the workplace;
    • Ability to initiate process optimization/performance improvements and scrap reduction;
    • Computer proficiency - working knowledge of CMI, Word, Excel and Lotus Notes;
    • Self-starter with the ability to prioritize many different tasks;
    • Effective English verbal and written communication skills;
    • Ability to gather and analyze information;
    • Familiar with Occupational Health & Safety Act & Regulations.
