Summary:

Responsibilities:

Pre‐ and post‐event cleaning, including waste removal, floor and surface cleaning and ensuring clients have removed all of their materials at appropriate times.
Ensures a high standard of cleanliness in the public and event spaces of the buildings.
Sweeps and mops/machine washes floors, stairs and elevators.
Cleans and disinfects washrooms, kitchenettes, railings, counters, doors, walls, windows, mirrors, infrastructure and other common areas, select studio spaces.
Removal of garbage and other waste materials and preparation of bins for pick‐up.
Select grounds‐keeping and exterior garbage removal.
Keeps a thorough written daily log of all shifts, product use, incidents and suggestions for improving the health, safety and cleanliness in and around the buildings.
Maintains professional, cordial relationships with tenants and members of the public.

Qualifications:

Secondary school education.
Minimum six (6) months of experience cleaning office spaces and event venues.
Working knowledge of ensuring a high standard of cleanliness in the office, public and event spaces of the building/s (Sweeping, Mopping, dusting, kitchen and restroom maintenance, garbage removal, stairs and elevators cleanliness, laundry, groundskeeping, pre & post events cleaning, including light repairs).
Experience in keeping a thorough written daily log of all shifts, product use, incidents and suggestions for improving the health, safety and cleanliness in and around the buildings.
Ability to maintain professional, cordial relationships with tenants and public members.
WHMIS and Workplace Safety Training is an asset
Experience in the non‐profit sector, an interest in arts and culture, and a familiarity with Toronto's arts community are all considered assets
