About the Role:


You'll be working on things like:

  • Operate the master control board, Media Touch and Burli during live, local talk shows, including controlling mic levels, phone calls, imaging elements, commercials, and all other audio sources during a show.
  • Knowledge of Media touch, and the ability to set up a studio and prepare log for broadcast.
  • Collaborate with show producer and host for content.
  • Collaborate with other producers on story development and dialogue.
  • Collaborate with the Newsroom on breaking news execution.
  • Traffic reporting.
  • Edit and upload show audio, features and other programming as needed.
  • Assist the Production Department with features and production elements.
If you have the want to hear from you

  • Postsecondary education (or equivalent experience) in radio broadcasting, journalism, communications, or a related field
  • Familiarity with the news talk radio format and a desire to work in the radio broadcasting industry.
  • Intermediate to advanced digital audio editing skills.
  • A working understanding of Media touch and Burli is helpful, as well as technical/computer skills.
  • Friendly, positive, team player with acute attention to detail
  • The ability to multitask, communicate, stay calm and trouble shoot in high pressure & evolving situations.
  • The ability to anticipate and quickly react to an onair situation.
  • A creative thinker who enhances on air programming with appropriate music and sound effects in a timely manner
  • Friendly positive attitude
  • Adept Computer skills
  • A flexible schedule.
