Position Summary
As Program Director of the MBA, the appointee will oversee non-academic elements related to the program. This includes cooperating with staff in student recruitment, admissions, advising, career placement, etc.
They will help build and foster industry partnerships and liaise with alumni around events such as the Desautels Cup case competition and annual events in Montreal and Toronto.
As Program Director, the appointee will report to the Academic Director of the MBA, who is a member of the tenure-line faculty.
As a Faculty Lecturer, the appointee will take the lead in delivering several experiential courses in the MBA, including planning and coordinating a two-week study-abroad course for the first-year MBA cohort.
A typical full-time CAS appointment presumes a teaching load of seven three-credit courses or 21 credits in total, with course releases granted for administrative responsibilities.
A CAS appointment will hold a position in one of the Faculty's seven academic areas: Accounting, Information Systems, Finance, Marketing, Operations, Organizational Behaviour, or Strategy.
McGill University is an English-language university where most teaching and research activities are conducted in the English language, thereby requiring English communication both verbally and in writing, but knowledge of French or a willingness to learn French is desirable.
