    Description

    Eldorado Resort is made up of Hotel Eldorado, Manteo, and Eldorado Marina, offering top-notch amenities such as various outlets, gyms, indoor and outdoor pools, boardwalk, tennis courts, and a private beach.

    As the Resort Accountant, you'll be reporting to the Resort Controller and supporting the day-to-day, monthly, and yearly functions of the accounting department responsible for overseeing Manteo Resort, Hotel Eldorado, and Eldorado Marina.

    • Prepare daily revenue journal entries for the Accounting System
    • Review and Audit daily cash drops
    • Conduct quarterly audits on issued cash floats
    • Investigate Credit Card and Cash Variances
    • Assist guests with credit card payment disputes
    • Support F&B Team with inventory counts
    • Enforce SOPs as directed by the resort executive team
    • Offer accounting and systems support to the Marina team
    • Provide coverage for Accounting team members during their absence
    • Reconcile Credit Card/Gift Card daily and address any variances, IT-related Moneris issues
    • Handle assigned projects

    Requirements:

    • Post-secondary education in Accounting or Hospitality
    • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft applications like Word, Excel, and Outlook
    • Knowledge of accounting software
    • Minimum of 1 year experience in Hotel Accounting
    • Experience with Credit Card/Gift Card processing and reconciliation, Moneris proficiency preferred
    • Experience with PMS software, particularly Opera/Fidelio preferred
    • Experience with POS Software, Squirrel preferred
    • Flexibility, adaptability to change, and a can-do attitude
    • Understanding of generally accepted accounting and bookkeeping principles and procedures
