Community Support Worker (Permanent PT, 32.5 h/week) Richmond, BC
Working in one of our four Adult Day Programs (LIFE), this role supports individuals
with developmental disabilities to experience improved quality of life, social
inclusion, and achieve individual goals.


YOUR IMPACT:


  • Provide direct staff support for individuals with developmental disabilities,
- including people with complex and/or challenging behaviour or support needs.
  • Establish respectful relationships with individuals which promote their dignity

- and well-being.
  • Support individuals to achieve goals based on their own choice, beliefs and

- desires.
  • Encourage individuals to build connections; to live selfdetermined lives in the
community surrounded by friends and family.


YOUR CAPABILITIES:


  • Relevant postsecondary education in related field and at least six months
experience supporting people with developmental disabilities in a similar
environment.

  • Current CPR and First Aid Certification.
  • Clear, current Criminal Records Check.
  • Valid BC Driver's License, Class 4 Preferred.
  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusion.
  • Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to interact at all levels of an

- organization.
  • Reliable problem solving, critical thinking and communication skills.
