Position Summary


As a Vision System Technician in our Quality Control Lab Services team, you'll operate the advanced, automated vision inspection systems that ensure CBN manufactured secure documents (bank notes, passports, driver's licence and identification cards, etc.) meet all specifications and are of the highest quality.

What You Will Do

  • Configure, optimize, and maintain various automated vision inspection systems;
  • Calibrate and modify the vision inspection system software models that analyze the quality of the different product lines;
  • Escalate vision inspection system quality issues to the appropriate internal resources (Quality Engineers, Product Managers, etc.) as required;
  • Maintain daily logs of all work, complete shift reports, inspection forms, system change records, operation reports and checklists and ensure that all changes are communicated to the vision team and internal stakeholders; and
  • Various other duties and responsibilities.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge and Experience_
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is an asset, but not required
  • Previous experience in a quality control is an asset, but not required
  • Previous experience in the print industry is an asset, but not required
  • Skills and Abilities_
  • Proficiency in MS 365 (Word, Excel, SharePoint)
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Excellent organization/time management skills
  • Attention to detail

Mandatory Requirements

  • Ability to obtain and maintain Government of Canada Secret (Level II) clearance
  • Ability to work all shifts (day, evening, night)
