About the Opportunity:
Under the general Supervision of the Team Lead and Manager of Support Services for Diagnostic Imaging, the Booking and Registration Clerk is responsible for registering, booking and Image Attendant duties within Diagnostic Imaging.
Other duties will include patient booking and notification; emergency, inpatient and outpatient registration; receive and change and prepare patients for their imaging exam; lifting recycle bins and bags of soiled laundry weighing between 10 to 20 pounds and additional related tasks as needed.
Rotation between QEII sites may be required.About You:
We would love to hear from you if you have the following:
- Grade 12 plus one year related clerical experience or a recognized one year secretarial/business program
- Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
- Experience using Cerner Millenium preferred
- Experience using STAR preferred
- Data entry experience
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to organize and prioritize duties
- Able to work with mínimal supervision
- Able to maintain confidentiality
- Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred
Skills testing may be administered.
Hours:
- Long assignment fulltime position; 70 hours biweekly
- Approximately 24 months
- May include evenings and/or weekends
Compensation and Incentives:
$ $24.89 hourly
