ABOUT US
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
Reporting to the appropriate site supervisor, the Rigger will be responsible to ensure Aecon Construction Solutions Inc. achieves their general and specific project requirements.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare and clean up construction sites
- Maintain rigging equipment, including performance of daily safety inspections
- Daily logbooks
- Complex rigging lifts including fly forms (concrete), rebar cages, complex spooling configuration
- Assist Crane Operator in performing load tests and other crane inspections as required
- Communicate with the Crane Operator to execute lifts using both with hand signals and radios
- Secure and release loads using safe rigging practices and appropriate equipment
- Dismantle and store rigging equipment after use.
- Complete all weight calculations
- Selection of proper rigging materials
- Ability to read and understand lifting weight tags

Salary:
$30.00 per hour
