Description

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily kitchen operations and ensure smooth workflow
  • Manage and train kitchen staff, including cooks and food preparation workers
  • Create and maintain a safe and sanitary working environment
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and guidelines
  • Plan and coordinate menu items, including meal preparation and presentation
  • Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
  • Collaborate with restaurant management to develop new menu items and specials
  • Maintain kitchen equipment and schedule repairs or maintenance as necessary
  • Adhere to budgetary guidelines and control costs

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in the food service industry, preferably in a kitchen management role
  • Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Proficient in food preparation techniques and cooking methods
  • Familiarity with kitchen equipment operation and maintenance
  • Understanding of inventory management principles
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
