JOB SUMMARY:


Under the direction of the Manager, Corporate Planning and Performance Reporting, the Finance Officer, Corporate Planning and Reporting is responsible for supporting the implementation of Hydro Ottawa's integrated business planning and performance management framework, and the activities of the Corporate Planning and Performance Reporting function.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES- Support the coordination and implementation of corporate planning and performance reporting activities (i.e. quarterly reports to the Board of Directors, Annual Report to the Shareholder, Annual General Meeting, monthly metric reporting to the Executive Management Team, and Executive Management Team and Board Strategy Sessions)- Support the monitoring and reporting of corporate performance and progress on monthly, quarterly and annual cycles- Assist with the preparation and project management of the Annual Report and Annual General Meeting- Assist with the review and analysis of corporate performance data submitted by internal stakeholders- Prepare reports for the Corporate Planning group summarizing corporate performance trends- Coordinate and support engagement with internal stakeholders on developing and implementing improvements to planning and reporting processes, performance indicators and deliverables- Conduct research and analysis on economic, business, public policy, technological, and environmental, social, and governance (ESG) trends, as well as best practices in strategic planning and corporate planning and performance measurement- Assist with the development and implementation of formalized ESG reporting- Prepare and validate periodic comparator analyses with utilities in Ontario and elsewhere across Canada for key areas of organizational performance- Support the design, planning and execution of special projects- Maintain and update the information repository utilized by the Corporate Planning group- Support the general day-to-day operations of the Corporate Planning group- Assist with the periodic review and updating of Corporate Planning's business procedures- Perform other related duties as required


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE- Post-secondary education in a related field such as Business, Finance, Economics, Public Administration, or Political Science- Experience and formal training combined with demonstrated performance and ability may substitute for stipulated academic requirements- Writing, communication and analytical skills essential- Strong computer skills; proficient in the use of office productivity and collaboration tools preferably Google Workspace as well as MS Office Suite- English essential, both oral and written; Bilingual (English and French) considered an asset.- Experience in the business, administrative and/or operational functions of a medium to large-scale corporation, municipality, utility or public sector organization considered an asset- Prior experience in performance management and measurement role(s) considered an asset- Understanding of corporate and financial reporting requirements, considered an asset.- Professional designation (e.g.

CPA) considered an asset.

This is a management group opportunity and salary will be commensurate with qualifications.

$58,456.35


Pay Range Maximum:
$87,739.37
