The Ministry of Education, French-Language Teaching, Learning and Achievement seeks an organized individual to provide administrative, clerical and secretarial support to management and professional staff.

What can I expect to do in this role?: In this position you will:

  • answer phone inquiries and route correspondence accordingly
- perform scheduling duties such as booking boardrooms, meetings and travel arrangements
- compile materials and update files in order to coordinate paper flow
- transcribe correspondence and compose letters
- create a variety of reports including charts, spreadsheets, tables and presentation material
- coordinate translation requests.


How do I qualify?:


Mandatory:

- proficiency in English as well as oral and written proficiency in French at the superior level


Administrative Skills:

- you can provide administrative support and secretarial assistance to your unit and other professional staff
- you have good organizational and prioritization skills to effectively track deadlines, identify priorities and conduct follow ups
- you have the ability to identify potential issues requiring immediate attention and respond to fluctuating work demands


Other Essential Skills:

- you posses strong oral and written communication skills including diplomacy, tact and interpersonal skills
- you are proficient in word processing, spreadsheet, database and presentation software (eg. Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint)
