Pressure Vessel Fabricator:

ALCO GAS & OIL PRODUCTION EQUIPMENT LTD - Edmonton, AB


Job description:

ALCO Gas & Oil designs, fabricates, and assembles oil and gas processing equipment for the domestic and global market. Alco is seeking Pressure Vessel Fabricators to work within our production facility.


Duties include but are not limited to:

  • The ability to use tools and equipment safely, while abiding by the health and safety rules
  • Maintaining a clean and organized work area, and helping others maintain their work area.
  • Basic fabrication experience and skill set with pressure vessel fabricating.
  • Layout and set up of pressure vessels.
  • Fitment of pressure vessels to meet drawing and code requirements.

Preferred Skills:


  • 3+ years of experience in fabrication of pressure vessels
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings and supporting specifications.
  • Accurately perform layout and dimensional checks.
  • Perform cutting and cleanup of nozzle and manway openings.
  • Complete setup of vessel shells and heads using overhead cranes.
  • Ability to perform well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication, attitude, collaborative skills, and ability to follow direction.
  • Ability to lift to 60lbs, work at heights, be agile and able to go on/off equipment, up/down ladders.

Working Conditions:


  • You will work in a large manufacturing facility with other trades present.
  • Longer than 10.0hour workdays may be required with short notice, must be available to work weekends when needed.
  • Physically demanding position

Experience:
