Job Summary

We are offering a challenging and rewarding technical support role for a product area with industry leading technologies, process solutions and service offerings.

Functioning as a product expert within the Market Area (MA), the Technical Support Expert - Filtration role provides filter technology related support to the Field Services, Service Sales, Customer Support and Technical Sales Support groups as well as to customers directly.

Responsibilities:

Provide filter technology related technical expertise in the form of trouble-shooting, technical research and investigation, process knowledge and advisement on operation and maintenance practices
Provide remote and onsite support to equipment installation, commissioning, inspection and maintenance activities
Ensure comprehensive and systematic technical support request case handling using a ticket management system
Participate in the development and execution of technical training courses, including the creation of training plans and content for theory and practical based training, in co-operation with internal stakeholders
Support installed base data validation and maintenance activities
Support upgrade and spare part sales case activity through case assessment, technical research and solution review
Support inspection report reviews and corrective action recommendation development
Work together with Global Technical Support to resolve complex technical problems
Participate in technical investigations related to warranty claim processing
Maintain compliance with all Metso Outotec and Customer Site QEHS related rules, regulations and practices
Actively participate in value co-creation activities involving our Filtration Customers and Metso Outotec Services

Qualifications and Experience

7+ years of industry experience in a related field involving mechanical / hydraulic / control systems
Knowledge and understanding of Metso Outotec / Larox filtration equipment and processes
University Degree or Technology Diploma in a related technical discipline
Ability to read and interpret technical information (incl. mechanical drawings, hydraulic and electrical schematics, product specifications, data sheets, etc)
Advanced knowledge and experience related to troubleshooting complex systems
Ability to work under pressure to resolve problems impacting the operation of customer production equipment
Ability to manage multiple assignments, priorities, and deadlines
Demonstrated skills in Microsoft Office tools
Ability to travel up to 25% (incl. international travel when required)
Strong spoken and written English skills is a requirement for this position
Basic Spanish speaking considered an asset
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

This position is eligible for an annual bonus which is a percentage of eligible wages and is primarily dependent on Company financial performance.
