JBH is a Clinical Education site in conjunction with McMaster University, and designated as an Academic Community Teaching Hospital. Its expanded campus includes the stateofart Michael Lee-Chin & Family Patient Tower, featuring a new Emergency Department, 172 acute inpatient beds, 9 new Operating Rooms and postanaesthetic care unit to support expanded medical, surgical and outpatient services. JBH is also a partner member of the Burlington Ontario Health Team.

The HRT must be able to manage New Patient Referrals by obtaining all reports (consults, pathologies, and investigations), and registering information into the computer systems.
Working with the clinic clerks, you will support the maintenance of the chart room by filing, purging inactive charts, updating details on MOSAIQ and arranging chart transfers.

The HRT must be able to manage New Patient Referrals by obtaining all reports (consults, pathologies, and investigations), and registering information into the computer systems.
Working with the clinic clerks, you will support the maintenance of the chart room by filing, purging inactive charts, updating details on EPIC and arranging chart transfers.
The HRT must be Computer competent, proficient in both Word and Excel and have experience working with Meditech. Knowledge of EPIC is preferred.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduate of an accredited Health Information Management Program.
A minimum of 2 years recent experience working in a health information management capacity.
Experience with Meditech, and EPIC would be an asset.
Previous experience in ambulatory care setting would be an asset.
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
Excellent customer service skills (deal effectively with both internal and external customers).
Strong working knowledge of the Personal Health Information Protection Act (PHIPA).
Excellent organizational skills with demonstrated ability to prioritize in a fast paced environment.
Demonstrated reliable attendance, punctuality, availability and performance required.
