  • JBH is a Clinical Education site in conjunction with McMaster University, and designated as an Academic Community Teaching Hospital. Its expanded campus includes the stateofart Michael Lee-Chin & Family Patient Tower, featuring a new Emergency Department, 172 acute inpatient beds, 9 new Operating Rooms and postanaesthetic care unit to support expanded medical, surgical and outpatient services.   • The HRT must be able to manage New Patient Referrals by obtaining all reports (consults, pathologies, and investigations), and registering information into the computer systems.
  • Working with the clinic clerks, you will support the maintenance of the chart room by filing, purging inactive charts, updating details on MOSAIQ and arranging chart transfers.

  • The HRT must be able to manage New Patient Referrals by obtaining all reports (consults, pathologies, and investigations), and registering information into the computer systems.
  • Working with the clinic clerks, you will support the maintenance of the chart room by filing, purging inactive charts, updating details on EPIC and arranging chart transfers.
  • The HRT must be Computer competent, proficient in both Word and Excel and have experience working with Meditech. Knowledge of EPIC is preferred.
  • QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Graduate of an accredited Health Information Management Program.
  • A minimum of 2 years recent experience working in a health information management capacity.
  • Experience with Meditech, and EPIC would be an asset.
  • Previous experience in ambulatory care setting would be an asset.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Excellent customer service skills (deal effectively with both internal and external customers).
  • Strong working knowledge of the Personal Health Information Protection Act (PHIPA).
  • Excellent organizational skills with demonstrated ability to prioritize in a fast paced environment.
  • Demonstrated reliable attendance, punctuality, availability and performance required.
