**Opportunity : Volunteer Community

Based Director**Primary Care Networks (PCNs) are private notforprofit organizations funded by Alberta Health to support family physicians.

Established in 2006, the Edmonton West Primary Care Network (EWPCN) employs an interdisciplinary team of clinicians including nurses, pharmacists, dietitians, social workers, exercise specialists, behavioural health consultants,

and administrators with a mission to support family physicians in improving primary care through relationships, collaboration and innovation.

Experience

To be considered, we are looking for you to bring
one or more of the following skills to complement our existing Board: senior leadership; strategic planning and risk oversight; diversity, equity and inclusion practices; demonstrated community involvement; and/or experience with corporate governance.

Commitment
Appointments are for a 3-year term.

The Board meets monthly for 3 hours in the evening, up to 9 times per year in addition to any training, pre-work, and/or committee work, as required.

There are no meetings in the summer. Most meetings are held virtually, with a few opportunities to connect in-person throughout the year.

Start Date
The Community-Based Director will be introduced at our Annual General Meeting on June 19, 2024. The first meeting of the Board of Directors for the individual will be June 26, 2024. A Board orientation will be held on September 14, 2024.
