Description
The Canadian Light Source Inc. (CLSI) is a national research facility of the University of Saskatchewan.

CLS produces very bright light to explore the nature and structure of molecules, and serves national and international users from academia, industry, and government institutions.


Responsibilities:


  • Issuance and evaluation of RFQs for replenishment of inventory.
  • Responsible for cycle counts and reconciliation activities.
  • Responsible for organization and accuracy of warehouse stock.
  • Ensure requests for the procurement of inventory items are received and supported through to completion of the source to pay cycle, including verifying and obtaining the appropriate authorizations.
  • Execute and record purchase orders based on approved terms and conditions or agreements while ensuring due diligence in the procurement process.
  • Negotiate with vendors and partners to achieve best value for the CLS.
  • Liaise with colleagues and stakeholders to ensure seamless, timely and efficient resolution and/or routing of outstanding procurement enquiries and associated administrative processing.
  • Responsible for shipping, receiving and clearing shipments as required.
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Evaluate processes and identify opportunities to continually improve CLSI' services and operations.
  • Work effectively with crossfunctional teams to ensure a seamless procure to pay process and experience.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:


  • Minimum Grade 12 diploma and relevant postsecondary education or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A Supply Management Training (SMT) certification or working towards one would be preferred but is not a requirement.
  • Three to five years of relevant warehouse experience is preferred.

Experience:


  • Forklift experience would be considered an asset.
  • Experience in a procurement, administrative, or customer service role is ideal.
  • Familiarity with Confluence, Enterprise Asset Management and Microsoft Dynamics GP would be considered an asset.
  • Experience with auto reorder and warehouse management would be an asset.
  • Experience with public procurement is considered an asset, but not required.
  • Ability to meet physical requirements of position using proper PPE.
  • Forklift certification would be considered an asset.
  • Transportation of Dangerous Goods certification would be considered an asset.

Remuneration:
This position falls within the scope of the Unifor Local 609 Collective Agreement. Remuneration will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
