In order to continue our record growth streak, we need people like YOU to join our team Are you up for the opportunity of a lifetime? If so, we are seeking a Quality Assurance/Quality Control Inspector who will be responsible for analyzing packaging samples brought into the quality lab.


Key Accountabilities:


  • Firstoff, In
- process & Final inspections of components as per applicable quality plans.

  • Receiving Inspection of incoming materials as per applicable sampling plans, sampling schemes and sampling systems (e.g., ANSI/ASQ Z1.4/Z1.9 current revision).
  • Prepare shipping labels at the start of the shift of all running products for supply to the respective machine operators/packers and maintain and update label printing database as required.
  • Generation and retention of quality records as per standard operating procedures of the organization.
  • Review the documentation trail, provided to or generated from on daily basis (e.g., work orders, inspection sheets, labels etc.) for accuracy, completeness and compliance, make corrections if required and coordinate/communicate accordingly.
  • Communicate non
- conformance to Foreman, Production Manager, QA Supervisor, QA Manager, and QA Director.

  • Advise operators of all observed non
- conformance and required line of action.

  • Comply with all aspects of ISO 9001:2015 quality management system, EU directive 93/42/EEC Annex V (MAO) and GMP criteria.
  • Comply with standard safety measures and organization's joint health and safety committee's (JHSC) recommendations with respect to OHSA.
  • Maintain competence, knowledge and skills necessary for the satisfactory performance of all assigned responsibilities.
  • Perform all other duties assigned by the functional head.
  • Maintain effective communication channels with shop floor personnel and handover the detailed charge of the shift to the reliever at the end of each shift.
  • Perform functional testing and dimensional analysis of samples as assigned in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Ensure all instruments used in dimensional analysis are calibrated and operating properly.
  • Fulfill employer and employee portions of the "Berlin Values".

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:


  • Bachelor's degree with relevance to the Key Accountabilities or commensurate training or work experience in a related quality/technical area.
  • Ability to evaluate specifications / dimensional data and interpret technical drawings.
  • Strong computer skills in current Windows / Microsoft environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A minimum of two (2) years professional experience of working in a similar role, preferably in packaging or similar industry is preferred.
  • Professional certification(s) from internationally renowned bodies such as CQI, CQT, CQIA, CQPA of ASQ are not required but preferred.
  • Thorough understanding of the operating principles of all assigned equipment.
  • Ability to identify and detect nonconforming materials using appropriate inspection procedures.
  • Use of measuring and testing equipment e.g., weight/counting balance, digimatic calipers, micrometer, microscope etc.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fastpaced environment with mínimal supervision.

Working Environment:

Work is performed in both office and warehouse environments and some lifting (up to 30 lbs.) is expected. All employees are required to follow prescribed safety standards including those regarding the usage of PPE.
