Description

ARCP is a large heavy civil construction contractor based in Dartmouth, NS. We are looking for a Dispatcher to join our team and play a key role in transportation related activities. The successful hire will possess exceptional communication skills & keen attention to detail to ensure transportation operations run effectively.

Requirements:

Postsecondary education.
Valid NS driver's license.
Highly organized, reliable & punctual.
Able to multitask and work collaboratively.
Flexible availability needed for occasional weekend & evening work as required.
Strong written and oral communication as well as an aptitude for technology.

Responsibilities

Daily Dispatch of ARCP trucks and broker trucks.
Moving Equipment /Attachments / Materials under direction of the Fleet Manager.
Finding and scheduling broker trucks.
Gather and maintain broker information records in coordination with the Fleet Manager.
Auditing Drivers time sheets and hours of service.
Check daily pretrip inspections and report back to the Fleet Manager.
Purchasing permits for oversize and overweight loads under direction of the Fleet Manager.
Trucks utilization and optimization. (using GPS data to monitor driver behaviours)
