Shipper Receiver to join our
-
Oakville team. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity that will prepare outbound shipments to customers and clients, both domestically and internationally. We are looking for a positive, energetic person who is highly motivated and wants to work in a team environmentThis position operates on a straight day shift (8am-4:30pm) with overtime as necessary.

Responsibilities

Ensure adherence to established safety practices
Prepare all shipping documents (packaging slips, bills of lading, customs paperwork etc.) for outgoing shipments
Assemble containers and crates, shrinkwrap pallets prior to being loaded onto trucks
Assist drivers with loading trucks as necessary
Ensure the immediate and correct stocking of all incoming product off of trucks
Ensure that all warehouse part transactions are being completed systematically as well as physically
Ensure availability of supplies, products and packaging materials
Maintain equipment and assigned warehousing area cleanliness
Work with other team members to maximize productivity and efficiency
Perform inventory management functions such as stock, replenishments, and product movements
Other duties as assigned by Team Leader or designate

Physical Demands

Required to stand for entire duration of shift
Involves repetitive motions
Must be able to lift, push and pull up to 75lbs consistently throughout the day, with assistance of material handling equipment
Engage in frequent bending, stooping, squatting, pushing and pulling of parts and part containers
Due to the open environment of the warehouse, must be able to work in various weather conditions
Adaptable to relative sound pressure levels

Requirements/Qualifications

Previous experience preparing shipping documentation required
Experience preparing international shipping documentation preferred
Previous experience in a warehouse/distribution environment required
Forklift certification (counterbalance) considered an asset
Excellent communication skills: verbal and written
Computer literate; proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite
Demonstrated ability to execute good judgement and decision making for the purpose of process improvement
Ability to work in a fastpaced environment with shifting priorities in a team environment
Must have strong attention to detail
Must be willing to work overtime as business needs require
Must be able to meet physical demands of the job
Use of proper PPE while performing functions, CSA steel toed safety boots are mandatory

8am to 4:30pm
