Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Plans, coordinates, and executes a variety of recruitment events delivered in person and online to a variety of audiences. This includes the College Information Fair, two Open Houses, variety of competitions and other events focusing on several audiences including prospective students, and influencers such as teachers, employment counsellors etc.
- Ensures that each event has clear objectives and is properly timed in its execution to maximize outcomes
- Responsible for sourcing speakers and facilitators; budget management; development of communications; organizing all logistics including room bookings; catering; registration; working with the College's Marketing team to develop marketing materials; onsite, dayof management of the events/workshops; and post event evaluation
- Ensures that all events are planned and tracked in the College's CRM and ensuring that appropriate resource requests and collaboration for support from departmental experts are in place.
- Maintains accurate and uptodate information regarding the event, all attendees and resources used
- Collaborates with the various roles among the Student Recruitment team department to ensure that items such as student staffing, event and technological support and other items are in place
- Work with college faculty and staff to identify productive ways they can engage with audiences within the events the incumbent is coordinating
Qualifications:
- Minimum Three (3) year Diploma/Degree in Business Administration, Event Marketing or Event Management or similar field of study
- Minimum Three (3) years of proven experience planning and coordinating large scale and complex events and managing projects
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team in a fastpaced and highpressure environment and to conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times
- Strong organizational skills, ability to meet deadlines, and ability to manage priorities
- Strong oral and written communication, and analytical skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including some evenings and weekends when needed
- A valid license, clean driving record and the ability to travel for work purposes
- A credential from Niagara College and/or demonstrated knowledge and passion for the Ontario College system will be seen as an asset
- Experience working with a Customer Relationship Management system will be seen as an asset
- Previous experience working in a post secondary setting and an understanding of Ontario's secondary school system will be seen as an asset
