General Summary:

The saw operator will assist in the receiving, storing, issuing and delivering of items, maintaining inventory control, and doing the required housekeeping.

Responsibilities:

Verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment: Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.

- unloads incoming shipments
- cuts required material for a list of jobs
- receives raw material filling out packing slips and required paperwork

Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages.

Skills and Requirements

Required to be selfmotivated, good people skills are a must.
Ability to assess a situation and find the logical answer.
Detail oriented and organized, with excellent follow up skills.
Selfstarter who enjoys responsibility and accountability.
Decision making skills. Strong communication skills by telephone and in person.
Use general, impact, power and air tools and airlines.
Operate powered mobile equipment such as forklifts, conveyors and saws.
Perform all work in a safe manner, following work instructions and / or safe operating procedures.
