Summary:
As an integral member of the Senior Finance Team this individual will provide direction, leadership and support in the development, monitoring and maintenance of a complete and comprehensive corporate operating budget.
Provide business expertise and guidance to all levels of management in the organization including the development of appropriate educational initiatives to enhance the financial skill-set of managers and broaden their business acumen.
Build partnerships and alliances within the organization that enhance the financial planning, quarterly forecasting, and reporting process.Manage ad-hoc requests for financial and statistical information from end users.
Regularly coach, mentor and develop 4 direct reporting staff including managing performance appraisals and work quality
Contributes to ensuring there is a safe environment for patients, staff and visitors.
Other information:
Strong leader, analytical 'out of the box' thinker and an astute communicator with excellent organizational and interpersonal skills;
Undergraduate degree in Business or Accounting required;
CMA, CA, or CGA designation required;
5 years experience with corporate finance functions and decentralized budget and forecasting processes in large complex environments;
Experience with MIS Guidelines, Ministry of Health and LHIN reporting;
A high level of computer proficiency on a wide variety of budgeting, financial systems, and Microsoft software
Excellent communications skills (written, verbal and presentation skills)
Good attendance record.
