WHAT YOU WILL DO
You are a Human Resources Leader that values working for an innovative and purpose-driven organization.

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, you will oversee all human resources strategies, operations, and systems to aid in achieving The Newly's strategic objectives.

You will also provide proactive HR guidance and advisory services in a broad spectrum of human resources areas to the executive, managers, and employees.


You are a self-starter that enjoys working in a fast-paced environment with a dynamic multidisciplinary team and embody our core values of communication, community, excellence, health, and innovation.


Your accountabilities will include:
Integrated Talent Management

  • Lead all HR daytoday operations, including creating and evaluating the HR operational processes and maintaining a solid and effective HR operational infrastructure
  • Conduct fullcycle recruitment including sourcing, selecting, hiring, onboarding, and orientation
  • Implement and maintain a performance management system, learning and development opportunities, and a succession plan
  • Develop and manage a job evaluation process and total rewards structure to ensure consistency and organizational competitiveness
  • Manage HR concerns and provide direction and advice when appropriate
Organizational Relationships and Wellness

  • Build relationships with and provide human resource advice to managers and employees while ensuring issues are addressed appropriately
  • Interpret legislation and develop policies consistent with legal requirements and organizational values to ensure fairness
  • Develop and maintain health, safety, and wellness policies and procedures
People Management

  • Recruit and support the orientation and training of new HR employees
  • Responsible for all aspects of coaching, performance management, performance reviews, and progressive discipline
Strategic Development

  • Evaluate business needs and requirements to design/develop/lead and execute new or improved HR processes or initiatives
  • Demonstrate business acumen and participate in the strategic planning process, to support organizational objectives

WHAT YOU BRING

Experience:


  • Five to nine years of demonstrated experience in employee relations, attraction & recruitment, engagement and retention, compensation and benefits, learning & development, and health & safety is required
  • Experience in leadership and mentorship is an asset
  • Experience in a new organization or startup is an asset
Equivalencies of experience may be considered.

Technical:
Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS & ATS is required.

Background Check:
A clear Criminal Background check is required to start.
