Store Secretary

Seasonal Contract, Full-Time


About the Job:


Your Accountabilities:


  • Assist the Office Supervisor and Store Management with administrative duties.
  • Organizing appointments, meetings and communications with Management.
  • Administrative tasks, including general office duties such as clerical work, as well as assisting with order entries and ecommerce administration.
  • Efficient and accurate data entry.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to our guests in all aspects, including assisting as a cashier or on the sales floor when required.
  • Participate with the store team in achieving all aspects of service excellence, store readiness, cleanliness, and compliance with all Sheridan Nurseries policies.
  • Actively seek to familiarize and increase product knowledge in all areas.
  • Other duties as assigned by Management.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:


  • Must have completed high school and be legally eligible to work in Canada.
  • Experience in an administrative capacity.
  • Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Highly flexible with effective organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment with a sense of urgency, handling multiple demands, setting priorities, and having strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Detail oriented with a commitment to achieving 100% accuracy.
  • Retail and/or horticulture experience an asset.
  • You are punctual and dependable, and highly value honesty, integrity, and authenticity.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidays as scheduled.
