Job Summary:


The IT Investment Analytics team are technical and financial professionals who provide technical solutions for Investment Management that support their research, data engineering, trade workflow, analytics, and reporting.

We deliver technical leadership including architecture, infrastructure, implementation, service, and support to drive alpha and investment risk mandates.


We are looking to hire a Business Analyst who has a strong educational background and solid capital market domain knowledge.


What you will do:

Key Accountabilities:

  • Develop and foster relationships with our business partners (Traders, Portfolio managers, Security Operations, Data Management) and other IT teams to capture requirements, prototype solutions, provide demos, testing and support the final deliverables.
  • Design and oversees the data workflow, data engineering and data mining on timeseries market data and trade signals, under the direction of team leaders.
  • Design and oversee the data warehousing, database design, data pipeline and ETL for Front office Aladdin market risk analytics
  • Actively participate and contribute to Agile/ Scrum practices such as daily standups, backlog refinement, planning and sprint retrospectives
  • Professional documentation of methodology, validation testing and specification used by model
  • Assist in endtoend and regression tests of products and solutions

What you will bring:

  • Minimum one year of Capital Markets or Market Risk experience, deep analytic and problemsolving skills
  • Degree in Finance, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a similar field
  • Holds or in the process of obtaining a Charted Financial Analyst (CFA) and/or Financial Risk Manager (FRM)
  • Knowledge of market risk modelling methodologies and multiasset class investment strategies
  • Experience in derivatives/traded asset pricing and financial data analysis
  • Experience with full life cycle of software development, including requirements, design, development, testing, rollout, implementation, training and support
  • Technical aptitude, including Python, SQL and Excel
  • Experience in working with time series database would be an asset
  • Azure DevOps experience (or similar work item tracking tool such as Jira) would be an asset.
  • Effectively communicate with end users who may not be technical proficient and present ideas in simple but effective manner and translate them into actionable workplans
  • Able to handle stress and manage expectations from different business/technical stakeholders in this fastpaced environment
  • Able to interact with and build strong working relationships with Traders and technology Teams (Analysts, Developers, Coaches)
  • Comfortable working in a multidisciplinary team of varying skill levels
  • Comfortable working in an environment with a high rate of change and, when appropriate, willingness to step outside of primary role in order to facilitate successful outcomes
  • Passionate about improving your own skills as well as those of your colleagues through knowledge sharing and mentoring
