Part Time Recreation Aide

Roles/Duties:


  • Greet prospective residents and visitors in a professional manner.
  • Require all visitors and vendors to sign in and out when they enter and leave building.
  • Follow emergency protocols and procedures in a calm and assertive manner.
  • Answer multiline telephone including taking and relaying messages as needed.
  • Ability to setup and complete resident activities
  • Exhibit and maintain professional work habits, appropriate punctuality, appropriate grooming, appropriate dress, a positive attitude and demeanor in interactions with residents, coworkers and the communityatlarge.
  • Work successfully as part of a team and responsible for developing then maintaining strong working relationships with coworkers.
  • Attend staff meetings and training as required.
  • Perform special assignments, projects, and other duties as required.
  • Ability to make announcements on the paging system
  • Numerous other responsibilities as needed

Skills/Proficiencies

  • Computer knowledgeable, Experienced with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Experience in recreation is an asset
  • Must be able to work flexible hours and ability to cover additional shifts during absences
  • Excellent Communication Skills with Residents and Staff
  • Detail Oriented
  • Takes initiative, outgoing
  • Requires ability to lift/carry up to 30 pounds
  • Excellent ability to speak and write in English

Job Type:
Part-time


Salary:
From $16.76 per hour


Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • North York, ON M6L 3C1: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

Education:


  • Secondary School (preferred)

Experience:

Recreation Aide: 1 year (preferred)


Language:


  • English (preferred)
