Description
Reporting to the Manager of In-Patient Medicine, the Coordinator will be responsible for the day to day
in-patient medicine program within a multidisciplinary team setting in order to create clinical practice
environments that support quality patient care, patient safety, clinical competence, and a positive work
environment.


Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing or equivalent education and experience required

 Current registration with a regulated college is required

 Demonstrated leadership experience and management abilities

 Minimum of 3-5 years Medical/Surgical experience required

 Must be able to function both independently and as an active member of the multidisciplinary team
in addressing complex patient and family needs required

 Must be involved in continuing education on an annual basis and demonstrate commitment to
quality improvement required

 Experience in policy and procedure development an asset

 Demonstrated ability to support and contribute to a culture of safety and prevention of adverse
health events and promotion of quality in our organization

 Knowledge of current CUPE and ONA collective agreements

providing acute care services to North Bay and its surrounding communities, functioning as the district referral

centre providing specialist services for smaller communities in the area, and it's the specialized mental health

service provider serving all of northeast Ontario. At more than 400 beds, our state-of-the-art regional health

centre has over 150 physicians, 2300 employees and 250 volunteers.
