Responsibilities:_

-
(This position is a combination of Warehouse and Production)_
-
Summary:_Responsible for the efficient and timely processing of customer requests for production of products according to established procedures, following and enforcing all safety protocols and workplace policies.

-
Job Duties:_

  • Assist in coaching of staff as per direction of Supervisor by directing daily activities of the warehouse team
  • Assist with training with new Warehouse Operators
  • Lead by example and have strong accountability and honesty
  • Make discipline recommendations to Supervisor when warranted
  • Ensure Physical inventory is accurate, performing random audits on inventory
  • Maintain a clean, organized workplace by implementing daily housekeeping habits
  • Maintenance of facilities and equipment
  • Ensure that staff tasks are being completed in an accurate and timely manner
  • Help staff understand their roles in targets and assist Supervisor in helping staff take ownership of both Quality and Quantity targets
  • Watch for issues in production and communicate them to the Supervisor
  • Ensure all Documentation and checks are being completed throughout your shift
  • Work with Supervisor and Staff to ensure a safe working environment while also ensuring that production expectations are being met
  • Ensure all SOP's are being followed
  • Ensure Health & Safety Policies are adhered to
  • Limited communication with customers and suppliers.
  • Complete production reports & production audits, when assigned.
  • Other related duties as required or assigned

Required Knowledge:_

  • Demonstrate good organizational skills
  • Ability to understand, run and troubleshoot the equipment
  • Knowledge of SDS and good Chemical/Quality practices
  • Know how to work safely
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Ability to lead and motivate team members
  • Able to follow instruction from supervisor
  • Able to work in a team environment that is constantly working towards improving processes and procedures
  • TDG & Forklift Training are required
  • Strong understanding of company policies and procedures
  • Able to identify hazards and work towards rectifying them
  • Minimum 1 year forklift experience required

Working Conditions:_

  • Able to lift at least 50lbs
  • Manual dexterity required to work on or under tankers
  • Overtime as required
  • Able to identify any health and safety issues
  • Loading and shipping of various products
  • Direct daily activities and train new hires
  • Maintaining inventory of onsite products
  • Ensuring physical inventory is accurate, performing random audits on inventory
  • Maintain a clean, organized workplace by implementing daily housekeeping habits
  • Communicating maintenance of facilities and equipment to proper authorities
  • Communicate and enforce policies and process'
  • Clear and efficient communication of daily activities to team and Site Manager
  • Data entry, when required
  • Deal with customers and suppliers
  • Complete production reports & production audits, when required
  • Other related duties as required or assigned

Qualifications:_

  • Demonstrate good organizational skills
  • Know how to work safely
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Possess mechanical skills
  • Able to follow instruction from supervisor
  • Able to work in a team environment that is constantly working towards improving processes and procedures
  • Strong communication skills needed to communicate effectively with CSR, Driver and Warehouse teams
  • Strong understanding of policies and procedures
  • Good understanding of safe work practices
  • Able to identify hazards and work towards rectifying them
  • Able to lift at least 50lbs
  • Ability to work outside in any weather conditions
  • Manual dexterity required to work on or under railcars and tankers
  • Overtime as required
  • Able to identify any health and safety issues
