Summary:


The prime purpose for this position is to train, manage daily work flow and be involved with the accounting and analysis of accounts.


Specific Responsibilities:


  • Training of all new and existing staff members in the functions as they relate to the respective sections.
  • Analyze all reports, accounts and ensure accurate financial figures are processed, verified and reported within the allotted time period to meet weekly deadlines.
  • Is responsible for the daily supervision, coordination and accurate completion of work flow in the respective sections.
  • Is responsible to ensure staff is current with responses to web inquiries.
  • Update & accurately implement procedure changes with the staff and ensure they understand and carry out instructions.
  • Reconcile and balance the accounts for period end reporting.
  • Find resolution, taking corrective action to address difficult situations in a manner that meets the customers' (external and internal) needs and stay within our Company Policies and Procedures.
  • Resolve conflicts and circumvent potential problems in order to keep a healthy environment in the department. Ensures employees have an amicable working relationship.
  • Prepare and conduct both midyear and yearly formalized performance appraisals for support staff.
  • Establish and maintain business relationships.
  • Inform Manager of any conditions that may hinder the work flow of the department.

Qualifications:


  • College / University education.
  • 3 years work related experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office, SAP, BDMS, Sweda, Miro, MMS, AS400.
  • Strong analytical skills, ability to analyze and handle GL accounts.
  • Capability to work in a highly computerized environment, meet deadlines and the ability to prioritize tasks. Skill to multi task is essential.
  • Ability to streamline the work to reduce the time required and to be cost effective to the department. Ensure the work is completed with resources available.
  • Detail oriented and the ability to work independently.
  • Advanced level in excel and word processing skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
