Job Duties/Qualifications, Skills and Abilities(QSA):

    Job Duties
  • Provide learning technologies training and instructional design consultation to faculty and staff and promote teamwork in the course delivery process.
  • Promote and advance technology enhanced learning following the directions and goals of Saskatchewan Polytechnic and the Division of Learning and Teaching.
  • Advise and assist faculty in the best use of instructional technology to enhance instruction and create innovative and engaging learning environments. Assist faculty in the use of technology through the provision of solutions to specific teaching and learning problems including research and resource recommendation.
  • Work collaboratively with Learning and Teaching staff and other teams to develop and promote a variety of faculty training and consultation services.
  • Excel and lead in the research, analysis, planning, development and promotion of the use of emerging technologies in support of teaching and learning and in alliance with Saskatchewan Polytechnic's Strategic Plan.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Travel will be required.

Required Qualifications, Skills and Abilities (QSA)

  • Bachelor's degree (or higher, Master's degree preferred) in Education with specialized studies in instructional design and development for blended and online education and multimedia training, evaluation, needs analysis and educational technology or equivalent combination of directly related education and experience.
  • Superior interpersonal, client service, and communications skills.
  • Experience in providing training and consultation to faculty with respect to learning technologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to adjust delivery to different audiences and skills levels.
  • Thorough understanding of Internet technologies, products and implementation strategies including research and problemsolving skills, especially where new or untested methods, products and software
  • Experience with a variety of tools for technology enhanced learning including: synchronous and asynchronous development and delivery, HTML coding and editors, learning management systems, media development tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite), and Microsoft Office products.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong planning and organizational skills, under strict, tight timelines while meeting a wide range of needs.
  • Ability to function as a team member in an everchanging environment.
  • Experience working well with people from equity groups.
  • Demonstrates valuing diversity.
