Kinross is embarking on a Human Capital Management (HCM) transformation journey, implementing redesigned processes, and supporting technology, SAP Employee Central.

Kinross seeks a seasoned project manager (PM) to lead and work closely with the senior director of the Global Enterprise Applications & IT Project Management Office (PMO), with a single mission to deliver the project successfully and achieve its business objectives.

The PM is accountable for executing the project processes and deliverables.

The PM will adhere to the Kinross IT PMO Framework to deliver the project on scope, time, budget, and quality, and ensure the implemented solution is supportable and sustainable by the HRIS team and IT.

The PM will work with stakeholders from multiple Kinross departments, sites, and regions and must be comfortable managing enterprise-level HRIS projects, preferably SAP Employee Central, Onboarding, and Learning Management Systems (LMS).


Responsibilities:


Project Initiation Management:


  • Working with the Project Sponsor and Business Owner to:
  • Document project vision and success criteria
  • Document project charter to formally authorize the project.
  • Define the requirements of including scope, schedule, quality, and budget.
  • Establish the project governance structure.
  • Acquire project resources (internal and external).
  • Set up the approval process for project deliverables.
  • Oversee the creation of Functional and Nonfunctional requirements to ensure alignment with the Business Case developed by the Business Analyst and Project Charter / Vision Statement.

Scope Management

  • Work with key stakeholders to create a clear project scope statement from the project charter.
  • Document all scope changes via the established project change management processes.
  • Protect the project scope integrity throughout the project.

Planning Management

  • Work closely with the Project Sponsor to create the Project Charter for authorizing projects.
  • Work with the Implementation Partner to establish the overall project plan in either Waterfall, Agile or a Hybrid Methodology
  • Together with the Implementation Partner actively manage the tasklevel Project Master Schedule/Plan in MS Project and Service Now, including gathering effort and cost estimates as critical inputs to the Resource Plan, Schedule, and Budget.
  • Plan, monitor and manage project staffing, liaising with the resource managers for project resource acquisition/assignment, ensure accurate resource forecast and allocation throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Establish the Governance framework, as appropriate to the project, defining the membership and interaction model.

Financial Management:


  • Develop a Resource Plan and Budget, actively monitor project financials.
  • Track project resource and nonresource costs, differentiating between operation and capital expenditures.
  • Effectively control project cost and provide actual comparison with budget, forecast to complete and forecast at completion. Ensuring that variances are underscored and explained.
  • Track all project invoices with accounts payable and prepare invoice accruals.

Change Management

  • Effectively communicate relevant project information (written and verbal) to all project stakeholders at senior executive and project team levels.
  • Communicate quality information concisely and clearly to capture interest, inform and gain support.
  • Communicate project technical information in a manner that business executives can understand.
