JOB SUMMARY


Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Reverse Logistics Supervisor plays an integral role in researching and/or coordinating the daily logistics activities for both clients requested, and carrier notified returns, transfers and OS&D's.

The incumbent would be required to complete client's requests with required data from Return Processes, identify and forward to appropriate carriers for tender, monitor freight movement for same within the network, input all details into the software, transfer data to pre-completed receiving reports, investigate, trace and obtain necessary documents from carriers websites, communicate and provide necessary documentation to the Client, Metro Claims and Operations ensuring all required processes, communication and timelines are adhered to.


MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Overseeing the receiving and stocking of all returned products, managing lost claims, and supervising daily operations at warehouse
  • Receive, identify and investigate the cause of damaged items and respond to all Client and Carrier requests
  • Managing returntovendor procedures for identified vendors and regions
  • Design and organize shift schedules and procedures for staff to meet their KPIs
  • Ensuring quality of work performed by staff in shipping, receiving, storing and maintaining inventories
  • Prepare progress reports and relevant documentation and coordinate with other departments to ensure target schedules are met
  • Assist where necessary in implementing and training personnel on guidelines, policies, and procedures.
  • Follow the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Metro's policies including Safety, Violence and Harassment laws
  • Willing to stay beyond regularly scheduled hours to finish prioritized departmental objectives

EDUCATION

  • Undergraduate Degree or Diploma in Logistics/Operations and Supply Chain Management

EXPERIENCE

  • A minimum of 5 to 7 years in a Reverse Logistics
  • Previous experience in managing a team in a supervisor or manager role

  • Fluent in both French and English is an asset
  • Intermediate to advance knowledge of Microsoft Office
