The Dispatch Coordinator (Trip Supporter) assists the Dispatch Team in ensuring clients have an amazing experience as they tour Western Canada on premium motor coaches.

You will be an integral member of the TRAXX team, working with the Dispatcher and Duty Manager to ensure all Motor Coach Operator and road (trip) activities are supported and monitored according to customer itineraries and transportation (regulatory) requirements.

Your priority will be to ensure TRAXX safely delivers on and exceeds our customers' expectations of their TRAXX Coachlines experience.


We are hiring 1 Dispatch Coordinator [Trip Supporter] to work in our Edmonton location.

SCHEDULE - 8 hour shifts between 6:00am and 03:30am

5 days a week (Sunday to Sunday)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Proactively seek, assemble, and communicate situational awareness of the operational environment for each trip from various sources, including monitoring maintenance status, weather conditions, road capabilities, and route assessments, to inform trip planning and ensure seamless trip execution.
  • Assign Motor Coach operators to routes and coordinate driver schedules, ensuring hours of service records are reviewed and adhered to when assigning Motor Coach Operators.
  • Provide direct support to Motor Coach Operators, assisting with shift repositioning and addressing any triprelated inquiries or concerns.
  • Monitor and track vehicle locations using dispatch software or GPS systems.
  • Coordinate with various departments, including maintenance and customer service, to address operational issues or concerns.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate records of driver activities, operator logs, timesheets, vehicle maintenance, and other pertinent information.
  • Provide administrative support to the dispatch team as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

You are known for your ability to remain calm and professional while effectively handling multiple calls and tasks, addressing problems, and dispatching appropriate team members.

Key to your success are your communication, time management, and decision making skills.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Effective decisionmaking, problemsolving, planning and attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal skills (organizational, teamoriented & focused).
  • Good working knowledge of Western Canada.
  • Must be able to work flexible schedules that include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.); knowledge of transportation software is an asset.
  • Experience in the tour bus, motor coach and trucking (supply chain and logistics) industry is a significant asset.
